We are asked many different questions about what we do. Here are a few common ones.
How do I get in touch with you?
You can get in touch by visiting our Contact Us page, where you can fill out an online form, or you can phone or email us using the details provided.
What materials do you use?
We are very strict about using ethically sourced materials; metals and certified diamonds to ensure we do not use any poorly sustained or unethical material. We are authorised and regulated by the NAJ.
I want to buy a piece of jewellery, how do I do this?
We sell a selection of our jewellery right here at our online shop. You can also get in touch with us by phone or email if you are interested in purchasing or designing a bespoke piece, alternatively you can book an appointment to come into one of our two Kent based shops to discuss.
I don’t know my ring size. How do I order a ring?
It is important to get the finger size right where we can, however we know it’s not always possible when purchasing a ring as a gift, or if you’ve never had your finger measured before.
We recommend the best way to order one of our existing rings is to purchase it in a stock size – Size N the average size for a lady, or Size R the average for a gentleman. Then, once you have received the ring and are happy with it, we ask that you check the correct finger size and send the ring back to us to be re-sized to fit, free of charge.
We have also put together a handy ring size guide to help you get as close to their finger size as possible. You can download it here.
How do I get my jewellery engraved?
We offer a full hand engraving service in a variety of writing styles and sizes. We can fit a whole sentence into a piece of jewellery as small as a ring, and the message can be completely personal. Please contact us or come into one of our two Kent based shops to discuss your engraving requirements.
How do I get my jewellery valued?
You will need to bring your jewellery into one of our two Kent based shops. We will need the piece(s) for a short period of time to enable us to make assessments and take adequate measurements, check/test metals etc.
How do I get my jewellery repaired?
You will need to bring your jewellery into one of our two Kent based shops where we can assess the jewellery in question and discuss your options, we can generally give you a price straight away and nothing gets sent away. You can come in to either shop or you can book an appointment first by contacting us.
How can I get my jewellery cleaned?
We can clean, re-polish and re-plate your jewellery at our in house workshop. We offer a competent clean & check service at both of our workshops and all work is undertaken on the premises and can usually be done within 3 working days.
How should I care for my jewellery?
You should take care not to subject your jewellery to excessive force when wearing, as this can cause dents and scratches to the metal, as well as chipping or smashing diamonds and gemstones.
You should remove your jewellery when carrying out strenuous activities, extreme sports, outdoor activities, heavy lifting etc. You should avoid harsh chemicals, strong perfumes, lotions etc. as these can react with the metal used. You should remove your jewellery when swimming or bathing. You should always ensure that your jewellery is stored properly.
We recommend regular check ups for your jewellery, to ensure that any potential issues are spotted before they become problems.
